Indie Games

What are some of your favorite Indie games? I normally don't delve into them too deeply, unless they are free on Xbox One Gold, but I've found some good ones there.

Lovers in a Dangerous Space Time - This one is a big name Indie game, super cute and a lot of fun to play. Also you can play up to 4 people at the same time which is a lot of fun.

Powerstar Golf - It's a golf game, but it's a lot of fun. Another one that you can play four people at a time so it is fun to chill and play that game.

Oxenfree - Only played part of the game thus far, but it is really pretty and has a nice trippy story to go along with it. The aesthetic and everything just feels right on.

Gone Home - Haven't played this one yet, but looks like another suspenseful game that would be a lot of fun.

JOURNEY  God I love that game, which is kind of absurd because I haven't even played it. I've only watched playthroughs.  But it's got a lovely aesthetic, and the story (while understated) is lovely and the MUSIC IS PHENOMENAL.

We also bought Never Alone, an indie game that was created in collaboration with Alaskan Native peoples about an Alaskan Native folktale.  Haven't gotten around to it yet, but it looks good.

Journey looks really pretty.

Never Alone sounds interesting and unique as well.

Finished up the game Oxenfree last night. I like these mini games or episodic games like Life is Strange, that give you your stats compared to what everyone else has done. I haven't played through all of the Walking Dead game  like that, but the first two episodes really didn't grip me and pull me in like Oxenfree and Life is Strange did.

Oxenfree really blends in nicely drama as well as horror in an interesting way and I like how at the end you can leave suggestions for other people on your friends list who might play the game. Overall a game that I'd highly recommend and is on my long list of things to write an article about.
