Welcome back to 10 Minute Marvel. Thank you for listening. We’re diving into Loki Episode 5 where there is a lot that is found out and not that much that happens. But all of that is in a good way as we have another really strong episode of Loki. And it leaves us with some questions around what’s going to happen next and why Loki is the only one who seems to remember. But we’ll dive into all of that on the episode.

Plus there is a bunch of news. Vulture back for Spider-Man 4? Miles Morales getting a live action film? And, I think the big news, the announcement of Marvel Spotlight and the first trailer for Echo is out. And Echo looks a whole lot more like the Netflix shows with a a TV-MA rating. 10 Minute Marvel S3E42: Loki Episode 3: What Is Miss Minutes Plan?

Episode 3 of Loki took us to the World’s Fair in Chicago. And we got to catch back up with, literally, Renslayer and Miss Minutes. Plus we were introduced to Victor Timely, a He Who Remains variant. So what big questions were there to answer out of this episode? I think a few, especially around Miss Minutes, her plans, and what she knows about Renslayer that we haven’t heard yet.

Plus there is a little news to go along with the Loki talk. Around a trailer, that didn’t come out, plus some potential changes to the Marvel movie slate. And, as interestingly, two shows now also rumored to be getting second seasons. And, of course, if you like board games, like I do, the Marvel Dice Throne X-Men Kickstarter.

10 Minute Marvel: Loki Episode 1

It’s time for a new season of Loki on Disney+ and the first episode is out. And after one episode, Greg and I (Peder) have a lot of questions to ask. But I won’t ask them here in case you haven’t started Loki yet. But let’s just say, we both really enjoyed the first episode. And O.B., played by Ke Huy Quan does an amazing job.

And in the news we talk about rumored plots for Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, Kang Dynasty, and Secret Wars. Plus more Deadpool 3 casting rumors. And a new special presentation rumor around Man Thing.

10 Minute Marvel S3E39 – Loki Season 2 Predictions

It’s almost time for Loki Season 2, it comes out in two days. So that means that we need to ask some questions around the show and set our expectations on this weeks #10MinMarvel. We’re asking a lot of questions, and Marvel has done a good job of not giving us too many answer. What is Miss Minutes? Where do Renslayer go? What is Mobius doing with the timeline? Is Victor Timely the bad guy for the series? How bad much of the story is Loki’s time slipping? Plus some end credits and cameos that we might like to see.

And there is news. Most notably, the writers strike is over. And Marvel is already talking X-Men with getting pitches this fall, still, for shows or movies to start working on, possibly as soon as next year to come out in the following years.

10 Minute Marvel S3E32: What Comes From Secret Invasion?

Secret Invasion has wrapped up and it was a bit of a mess of a show. COVID restrictions and reshoots around Russia and the Ukraine didn’t help the show stand strong, and we wonder how it might have been different. But instead of looking to the past, we look into the future. Secret Invasion leaves some open questions. What interesting answers might we get that influence things like The Marvels and Captain America: Brave New World?

Plus in the news we have Deadpool, Madame Web and Loki to talk about. In particular the Loki trailer which came out, and spoilers, the trailer looks very solid. What does that mean for the show, because Marvel could use another Disney+ hit sooner rather than later.

Top 5 Most Anticipated Television Shows of 2023

Now this list is harder to put together than my movie one. And yes, I will be cheating in the same way. But TV shows, especially some Netflix stuff, just seems to come out of nowhere so I don’t know all of them. Plus, I could do an anime list as well, which I think I will. So don’t expect those, but also animated shows do count for this list. Still, I’m curious to see what I’ll come up with as I’ve written this part before I put my list together. What television shows are you excited for in 2023.

Top 5 Most Anticipated Television Shows of 2023

5. The Witcher Season 3

It’ll be Henry Cavill’s last season but that’s fine, I still expect to enjoy it a lot. I’ve enjoyed both seasons and while they aren’t the most consistent, I love the lore of the world. Season 2 gave us a good tease of something big at the end and now I’m curious to see how they’ll pay it off.

4. Fallout

I don’t know much about this show. In fact, I’m not 100% certain it’ll come out in 2023. But if it does from Amazon Prime, I’ll be curious about it. The world is interesting and I don’t have that much exposure to it. It’s probably a video game that I should checkout. But I think something like this with a big would could translate well to a television series.

3. Shadow and Bone Season 2

I really loved the first season, so to get a 2^nd, I’m excited to see what is going to happen. The characters are interesting, the world is interesting and generally, I didn’t have any real qualms with the show, the only thing, and this isn’t a bad thing, I might want to rewatch season 1. It’s been just long enough that I’ll want to know what happened and relive it again.

2. Star Wars Shows

We should be getting the Mandalorian Season 3, which I’m so excited for. Plus the Ahsoka show, also really excited for that one. I know I need to catch up on stuff like Andor, Kenobi and finally finish Book of Boba Fett, but none of them really excited me. Mandalorian Season 3 is must watch the week that it comes out for me. And I hope that Ahsoka will be the same. Oh, and I almost forgot Skeleton Crew which sounds like a lot of fun as well and isn’t tied into Star Wars cannon seemingly as much. So I’m more interested in it.

1. Marvel Shows

Obviously, and there might be a number of them with Secret Invasion, Loki Season 2, Echo, Agatha Coven of Chaos, Ironheart, and maybe What If Season 2 as well in the mix. Honorable Mentions

Of course I have some of those as well.

But the first one is Anasi Boys an adaptation of a Neil Gaiman book but one that I thought was just alright. It’s certainly one I’d checkout, if it sounds interesting enough once some reviews start coming in.
Extinction, on TNT not a streaming show, also sounds interesting, a software engineer who gets stuck in a time loop where the world keeps ending in different ways, that sounds entertaining. I believe it’s already been out in the UK, it’s coming to the US in 2023.
Probably should be on the list already, but The Continental coming to Starz, which means it might be a bit until I see it. But this one I do want to see, a prequel series to the John Wick films about the Continental Hotel from that series, set in the late 1970’s.
Dune Sisterhood because it is a Dune show, don’t know too much about it, but I’m curious. It’s on HBO Max, and still alive, so it’s lower on the list because who knows when I’d see it.
And I’m not seeing it for this year, but if Wheel of Time Season 2 comes out, that’ll be towards the top of the list.
Also, Stranger Things season 5. But that is supposed to start filming this year, so unlikely to come out.
