So, first off, sorry for missing Monday, I had forgotten it was a holiday. When you have a toddler and it’s a holiday, you don’t get around to doing much, so next Monday I’ll be back with a list. And I’ll be starting my Top 100 soon, trying to figure out if I want to do that weekly or not. I might actually start that next Wednesday and do my Top 100 for the next 10 Wednesdays. But, that is of course because I can since I finished up Aeon’s End Legacy, which is what you’re most likely here for.

Aeon’s End Legacy Final Thoughts

So, l wrapped up Aeon’s End Legacy, I gave a few final thoughts on it in last nights stream, but I want to talk about it some more today as I’ve had a chance to think on it. And I think the game really holds up. It is a very fun way to dive into Aeon’s End. It’s interesting because I do think that it is the way to teach someone Aeon’s End. You can get learn a lot as you go, which is a lot of fun.

That is also a bit of a negative. There were some elements that I wanted to do right away. And because I thought I knew the rules I accidentally made it easier for myself. But also the game never felt that much different from regular Aeon’s End to me. For a new player everything that’s added would feel cool and different. But I’ve played against a number of different nemesis. So I wanted something bigger to happen.

Plus the twist at the end with Xaxos. I thought that it was good, fairly predictable but good. I think in the second to last stream I said how i could see how some people don’t like that surprise. For me playing solo, it felt like more of an end to the story, or at least to this chapter of the story. I’m guessing Xaxos will be back in some of the later games. Overall a really fun time for me.

The Drink

I didn’t talk about it much last night. I’ve been on kind of an Old Fashioned kick lately and it’s been fun. Lately I’ve been doing more lemon bitters versus grapefruit bitters. I like both of them because I tend to just eyeball making my old fashioneds. That means that I can once in a while get a bit too much simple syrup in there. A citrus flavored bitter helps cut through it and bitters in generally do. So it’s a double dose.

Upcoming Streams

I talked about this already but I think starting next Wednesday I’m going to do my games 100 through 91 of my Top 100 and then do them live up until the week before Thanksgiving. I’m guessing there’s a chance that I’ll take that Wednesday off, so I don’t want to delay my Top 100, especially 1 through 10.

But on Monday I will do that second half of the list that I promised for a couple of weeks now. So 8:30 PM on Monday I’ll be doing 10 games that I like that I’m probably wrong about. So join me then for that list and starting Wednesday, my Top 100 Games of All Time.
