Malts and Meeples – Aeon’s End Legacy Chapter 1

Delve into a world shrouded in magic and monsters and join me as I play through the Legacy version of Aeon’s End from Indie Boards and Cards. How will I do as I fight the giant nemesis who come through the breach and create my own characters and develop my own strategies? And find out if this legacy game is one for you. Join me down at the table over on Malts and Meeples.

The Game

As I said above, Aeon’s End Legacy is a legacy, cooperative, deck building game from Indie Boards and Cards. In the base game of Aeon’s End you are fighting giant nemesis who are coming through the breach and threatening the down of Gravehold. As a breach mage, it is your job to stop the monster, either forcing it back into the breach or killing it without letting the town of Gravehold perish, or having all of the mages perish.

Aeon’s End Legacy has been on my shelf for a bit to play. I am glad to be finally getting it to the table as Aeon’s End is really one of my favorite cooperative games, and games in general. There are a lot of interesting decisions to make in the base game, and with a legacy version, I know that I am going to have even more. So I am one chapter in now and ready to play again.

The Drink

Didn’t talk too much about the drink last night. I was drinking a whiskey from Panther Distillery up in west central Minnesota. It is one that was specifically distilled for Fergus Falls, MN, my home town. It has a nice flavor, almost a hint of a chocolate note to it and it was also the last of the bottle. I didn’t feel like having a beer last night since Minnesota is pretty cool right now after out heat wave earlier this summer. Whiskey just seems like the proper drink for a cooler day.

What’s Coming Up

Well, next Wednesday is going to be another game of Aeon’s End Legacy. See where my two breach mages end up in this unfolding adventure.

However, before that, we have a stream on Monday. It’s going to be a Topic Stream and we are going to be talking about, getting rid of games from your collection.

Plus, there should be a new 3 Reasons Why/Why Not coming out as I look at another campaign game, Tainted Grail, and give you three reasons why you should get it and three why you shouldn’t.
